You will be responsible for the day-to-day ordering from established contracts via stock number requisition, tracking, receipt, and Warehouse placement of Coast Guard uniform clothing items. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
- Purchasing of supplies, services, and equipment related to the uniform manufacturing and/or distribution.- Executing of rapid delivery of goods and services to meet operational requirements.- Determining markets and solicits sources of supply.- Analyzing specialized services or specialty manufactured uniform requirements.- Negotiating unusual services, supplies, equipment in support of the U.S. Coast Guard uniform distribution program. Applicant must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the federal service. Examples of specialized experience include purchases a wide of uniform related requirements, executes, tracks, and documenting changes to purchase orders, negotiate and award purchase orders for items and services. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience):
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule, C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
